Hampton Inn Norfolk/Virginia Beach

I’ve stayed here for work for the past 3 months 3 nights out of the week. Great location for my needs. The rooms are clean and room furniture much newer than other hotels! Wifi works well. Hot breakfast in the morning is great! 24 hour coffee is also awesome. The day and night staff have been great to me, very friendly and accommodating whenever I have a request. Only con is that the doors slam and are not soft close, so you will hear slamming doors.

A great hotel for the price. Everything was very well maintained in the room, the floors were clean, had a smart TV in the room, and the bathroom was also clean and in working condition. I stayed just one night with my family, and it got the job done. Room service was great, we got what we needed. Breakfast was also very good, you get a free breakfast with waffles, breads, fruits, juices, eggs, sausage, and condiments. A great location with access to Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Parking a little bit crowded, but fine otherwise. The elevator floor needs a bit of a fix, but that's just cosmetic and doesn't affect how the elevator is very usable. Overall, its a good hotel that gets the job done!

I stayed here 7/25 and had a wonderful experience. The younger black girl w/glasses at the front was so sweet & professional. There was a hiccup in the room I reserved vs. the one I was given. It was immediately rectified. Later that evening when we got back we noticed we didn’t have sheets & pillows for the pullout sofa. Went to the front desk around 11ish pm told the light skinned lady w/glasses…immediately rectified. Everything was clean, the location was perfect and I felt safe. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Check in was quick even though it was a busy holiday weekend. Thank you Amir for the service. He got us the extra towels we needed too. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed mattress was firm and comfy. The only problem was the bed frame was not flush to the mattress. I keep hitting my knee on the corners. The bathroom was clean and has strong water pressure. They provide all the toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion. We had breakfast the next day and the staff assigned there that day made sure everything was refilled in a timely manner. Food was delicious and just enough to get started for the day. Overall a great stay!

Meisha from the front desk went above and beyond for my family while we were here. She is amazing! I also seen her going above and beyond helping other guests on our way back and forth packing the car this morning! Breakfast staff was fantastic as well! If this Hampton was involved in the Catch me at my best- she would be my catch!

Was in town for the Norfolk State University graduation in support of my nephew. The hotel was in a good location and was approximately 9 miles away from the campus. The parking lot to the hotel had a decent amount of parking. The lobby area was modern looking, and we were welcomed when we walked to the front desk to check-in. The staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. The room card system was glitching so we were not able to immediately get our room cards at the front desk but was promised that our room cards would be delivered shortly. We were escorted to our room and let in. Less than 15-20 minutes later, there was a knock on the door with our room keys. The room was very modern looking and satisfactory for an overnight stay. We were on an end room where there was not a lot of noise from the other guests. All room amenities were used to our satisfaction and the overnight stay was decent besides the fact that the room mini fridge started to make loud noise after we woke up to start our day. We appreciated the plenty of wash cloths, towels and hand towels provided for the room. We did notice there was no alarm in the room (old school hoteling) so we used our cell phone alarms instead. The free breakfast had a good amount of variety to it which we loved to be able to have a good start to the day. The lobby automatic doors were glitching as we took our belongings to our car and return into the hotel. Another guest in the lobby had to wave at the door for it to open. Check-out was smooth and we were on our way to the graduation.

Great staff and place! Was there for a soccer tournament and everyone we interacted with was amazing. I can’t remember everyone’s names but literally everyone was great. The GM, Desirae (I think that was her name) the gentleman who worked late, the amazing overnight lady…..we will be back

Nice, clean, easy process for check in and breakfast. FYI they advertise EV charging but only has one working charger (1/2). I looked into this after arrival (PlugShare) and it’s been broken for awhile. If you want to charge overnight you might want to look into an alternative hotel.
